三囲神社（みめぐりじんじゃ）

所在地　中央区銀座4-6　（三越銀座店屋上）

　弘法大師の建立と伝えられ、守迦之御魂命をまつる。
文和年間に社殿再建の折、白狐が御神体を三度めぐったと言う故事により「みめぐり」と呼ばれる。
尚、三井家（三越の前身）の守護神として三越本店、屋上に祭られ、又御神体は向島言問橋近くの御本社に安置されている。

　　　　　　　　　　MIMEGURI SHRINE
 It is said that this shrine was built by Kobo Daishi,a great teacher in Japan.
 The original shrine is to be found neat to Mukojima Kototoi bridge.
 Mimeguri means' circle three times',folklore tells us that a holy white fox circled this shrine three times during the ceremony of reconstruction,in the year 840.
 Now this shrine is dedicated to the God of the Mitsui family (founders of Mitsukoshi).
 You will find the same type of shrine on the roof of all Mitsukoshi stores.
 This shrine is said to bestow good luck and to grant the wishes of all that worship here.
